After spending 9 days in Shenzhen and Guangzhou, we took the bullet train back to Hong Kong to spend 5 nights.
The travel board in English makes it super easy to travel. Our train was Z815. |
Off we go! |
Bullet train. Comfortable seats. |
Sights of Southern China. |
Grafitti art |
Entering Hong Kong. |
To leave mainland China, we had to go through customs, immigration and the temperature check again. We also got new stamps in our passports. |
In Hong Kong, we got a taxi driver who drove like a maniac. |
Seriously, he hit corners on two wheels. |
Sights on the way to the hotel. |
We checked into the cutest boutique hotel in the world. They took our picture when we arrived! |
This is what our room looks like. What an incredible view of the city !!! |
We are on the 18th floor. |
Mirrors, mirrors, mirrors... |
Even in the hallway, and in the elevators.... |
Mirrors everywhere in this hotel. That means somebody is ALWAYS watching. |
Headed out to get some food. This place was crowed - a good sign - but the menu had no English. |
Before we got here, everyone said the street cart food is the best and is super cheap. I want to try it, but the menus are not in English and the vendors don't speak English either. |
Found a place!! This vegetable won ton soup was sooooo good. I couldn't believe my luck. Then my hubby tasted it and asked the waitress if it just vegetables? She said, "Yes! Vegetables and pork." UGH. I had to send it back. I maintain, they love the pig here!!! |
ALL vegetable ramen. Thank you, very much!!! |
Different country; same 'ish. This man shops for records everywhere we go! |
Strolling through Hong Kong... |
Circle K!!! Whaaaaaat? |
