Chinese Grocery Store . . .

My hotel is connected to a subway station.  Which means it’s connected to a mall :-)  And in the basement of this mall, there’s a grocery store.  

Come take a ride with me.

I wonder if this video camera is taking pictures of me taking pictures.

Fresh grapes.  I love grapes.

Oh, my.  The meats are just sitting out. 

Whole chickens.

Chicken fingers. You grab your own. No need for a butcher or a helper.

Grab what you want with tongs and put it your plastic bag.

Live fish and shellfish swim in tanks. That guy hanging out upside was alive :-)

Mussels and crab.

Oh, wow!  You catch your own!!

The eggs sit out in the open too.

Not sure what type of eggs these are.

Prepared foods.  Pig's nose and feet. And I think, some chicken too. On the other side in those pots were snails and crab.

These are breakfast sandwiches.  At the very top -- I thought this was the "pancake"  Rena and I had one day, but these look like they have pork in it.

Lots of things in bulk.  But see all of those instant noodles back there?  There are many brands, but no  Cup O'noodle or those small Ramen packages we have in the States that come in chicken, beef, shrimp or "regular" :-)

Lots of packaged meats in the snacks section.

These peanuts are HOT. They will tear your mouth up.  But they're soo good.

This is for my Mom, my Auntie B, and my other mother Cheryl Epps (RIP).  Their sweet wine of choice is in CHINA :-) 

A tea taste.  You can also taste all types of food too, but I declined.

Well, after all that. This is what I got.  I thought it was a savory bread. NOPE. That's chocolate on top and in the middle too.  Too sweet for me.  But after standing in line forever, it will get eaten.
