New hotel . . .

While waiting for our Uber to the train station, we stopped in Starbucks. Great decision.  We got to taste a reserve Columbian coffee that is only served in Shenzhen.  It will roll out to the rest of the world in the fall.  Our server, Ray, who was very nice, explained the origin of the coffee and introduced us to a few locals who sat with us, as we all tasted the coffee.

Awesome front door, right?
Look at the cutie who came to greet me.
Our server, Ray, who was super cool.

Tasting the Columbian Reserve coffee.
Such a great space.
We decided to skip the Uber, and just walk in the pouring rain.  The subway is super easy.  We made it back to Luohu in 25 minutes, and for just $1.28.  (Now do you see why I was steaming mad about the $80 cab ride?).

But it’s cool.  Like everything else in my career so far, the really shitty people reveal themselves early on, so I can get the wisdom, and keep it moving.

Now that I know the subway system, I feel much more comfortable getting around. Here are some of the sights we saw.

The building are so TALL, the camera almost can't capture it.
See? Here's another.
Busy street!  I spy a McDonalds

Okay, so we're all checked into our new hotel.  Which has a huge, comfortable KING-sized bed, a safe, a flat screen with premium cable (very important to my husband), umbrellas, slippers, and comfortable terry-cloth robes.  We also have a massive view of Hong Kong from our room (Sa-WEET!).

Now we’re headed back out into the hot rain to explore!!

Talk soon,
