New stamp in the passport!

My last passport was running out of pages.  Then I got married, and got a brand new shiny one.  My husband and I have been grinding nonstop lately, so it's been sitting stiff and lonely in a drawer.  But at least I took a better picture.

A few weeks ago, I got a very important life changing call: pack your bags.  For CHINA!

I always travel light - my purse, laptop and a carry-on.  This trip will be no different; although I do recognize 5 weeks is a very long time.  Everyone who’s already been says China is hot, humid and smoggy.  So, okay, they win - I’m packing for 90 degree heat, humidity and smog.  That means tanks, tanks, and more tanks.

New culture.  New food.  New people.  I’m ready.

Here are my stops:  Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, double back to Hong Kong for 5 days, Shanghai, Chengdu, and finally, Beijing.

This blog is for my family and friends, so you can see what I see, and know that I’m okay, without racking up expensive phone bills.  My goal is to post pictures from each city and tell you what each one is like.  Feel free to leave comments.

Back to rolling clothes, and giving my pup belly rubs in between.
